This entry is long overdue, and so I brought pictures. Considering the fact that I got around seventy photos from the convention I'm only posting a few here. Mostly to prove that I actually went to the convention in Burbank. I naturally got myself a few souvenirs from the convention, like signed photographs of Claudia Black for example. Then there's the official convention T-shirt and Farscape hoodie. I'm really going to try and post pictures of the stuff in the next entry as soon as possible. Until then, I leave you with these pictures of Claudia Black and Ben Browder...

1. List your top seven character ships
2. Put all of them in order of your love for them; 7 to 1, 1 being your main fixation.
3. Name the movie/show that they're in.
4. Supply photos for said people.

7. Luke & Lorelai - Gilmore Girls
Throughout the entire series, I wanted nothing more than see them together because they were just so great as a couple.

Photobucket

6. Nick & Tess - McLeod's Daughters
Despite the difficult start, they finally found each other and Tess got her happy ending.

Photobucket

5. Lucas & Peyton - One Tree Hill
So we haven't seen the end of this love story yet, but considering how wonderful they are together and everything they've been through I have high hopes for them.

Photobucket

4. Remington & Laura - Remington Steele
A completely original couple that I never tire of obsessing over.

Photobucket

3. Lois & Clark - Smallville
Fell in love with the latest version of Lois Lane the moment she appeared in the Season 4 premiere. The constant sarcasm and bickering between Lois and Clark is enough reason to keep watching the show. That, and the major foreshadowing.

Photobucket

2. John & Aeryn - Farscape
How to describe the most complicated relationship in the history of television? There's really not enough words for it, so I'm gonna keep it short. They're simply awesome together in whatever they do and I just can't get enough of them.

Photobucket

1. Vala & Daniel - Stargate SG-1
What's there not to love about these two? Aside from the totally addictive sarcastic bickering from day one, they just click on some level. Despite what the future holds for them, they'll always have each other.

If you could pick any TV show that has been off the air to come back for one more season, which show would you pick and why?

The first show that came mind was Farscape (DUH! More Claudia Black!) but then I realized that the show got a proper ending with the mini-series, which leaves me left with two options. I can never just pick ONE when it comes to TV. Since I'm a Vala fangirl, my biggest wish would be for Stargate SG-1 to get one more season so that we could see more of Vala Mal Doran/Claudia Black. I'll always hate the fact that we only got 29 episodes of her; so sad that she didn't join the series sooner! Although her episodes are awesome and I've seen them countless times already, I'd love for tons of more wonderful Vala storylines! Stargate SG-1 itself got ten seasons so that's plenty of episodes but I want more Vala. Hmm, I guess a Vala Mal Doran spin-off show would satisfy me as well...

Anyways, I'm getting way too sidetracked here. My other option, which probably deserves getting renewed even more despite the feature film, is Firefly. Especially since the whole Mal/Inara thing was left unfinished and because the show rocked! ♥

I threw together this batch of icons the day before watching Stargate: Continuum and figured it was time to show them off. Planning on posting a pretty big batch of quote icons next time; mostly Vala related obviously. But some might contain random Stargate fluff.

[Two Serenity text icons are included in this batch.]

Bah, I've been dreading this entry/review for almost a week now but I figured I might as well throw in my two cents once and for all.

I had so high hopes for Stargate: Continuum it's scary and the feeling of disappointment afterwards seriously bugs me. I know the movies weren't suppose to be D/V centered but speaking as a hardcore Vala fan, I wanted some kind of closure for the Daniel/Vala thing. This being Stargate, I never expected to see some big finale kiss or anything like that but at least something subtle in the true D/V spirit. Not the entire team (except Vala of course) going out to lunch! I've been trying real hard to see the big picture but not even the Qetesh angle cheered me up. For the past eight months I've been waiting for Stargate: Continuum to be released, mostly because we got to see Vala as Qetesh which meant I could put aside my 'Qetesh fan fiction' idea. But none of my theories for Continuum were even remotely close to what happened and yes, I'm not all that surprised since I suck at theories. Especially when the storyline can go in so many different directions or at least that's what I thought. After watching Stargate: The Ark Of Truth, I relied on Continuum even more to bring me closure and give a fairly clear picture of the D/V relationship. Showing us that an actual relationship were going to happen, even if it happened after the ending of the movie. Which I would've been fine with. But the ending, in my personal opinion, reminded me more of a casual episode ending. Like we're going to see the "real" ending next week or something. God, how I wish that was true! We only got 29 episodes with Vala which is by far too little. I can proudly admit that I got hooked on the show because of her and know close to nothing about the show before that, so perhaps that's why I can't see the true purpose of the movies? I also understand that the producers didn't make these two movies because of the D/V fans but still, it was a pretty big storyline in the show or was that just my wishful thinking? Either way, my first impression when the end credits rolled was a big old "WTF?" and then came the tears. Almost. I felt frustrated and yes, most of all disappointed. The next day I started convincing myself that one day we'll get a third movie with a proper ending to D/V and if that day ever comes I'll be the happiest (Vala) fangirl in the world.

Anybody out there that agrees with me even a little? Or am I in for a total bashing now that I've made it clear that I didn't really like Continuum?

Well, I do have a dead on favorite part right in the beginning at the execution of the Ba'al clone. Can't remember much what was said but Jack's joke about Vala trying to find a toilet in a pyramid was damn funny and Qetesh killing Ba'al was awesome in its own way. So basically, I enjoyed about five minutes out of the entire movie. Wieee... or not.

The movie was finally released yesterday in the States and this afternoon it was delievered home to my doorstep! I didn't get to open the package until earlier tonight and like predicted, I stared at the shiny cover for a while before tearing off the plastic. I now have all twenty-nine Vala episodes of the series and the two Stargate movies, which obviously was mandatory for a fangirl such as myself! So right now I'm ecstatic to say the least! But I won't be watching the movie until this weekend the latest because of my current fan fiction which is depending on when I'm watching the movie, since there's a chance of me stopping writing cold turkey if the ending isn't what I want. Which I'm nervous about in general so the fan fiction only adds to my concerns.

Speaking of fan fictions - this past week my current favorite over at FF.net has been update three times and ironically enough I can't find the time to read these latest chapters although I've been waiting for this update for months. I'm incredibly picky when it comes to fan fictions, both writing and reading, so it's a rare thing for me to find one I actually follow from the beginning to the end. Naturally I'm all about Stargate fan fictions these days and D/V all the way. Haven't been able to find any decent Farscape fan fictions so far which came as a huge surprise considering the impact the show has had on people. I got a Farscape future saga kind of story in the works but the Stargate things comes first since I'm most of all a Vala fan.

Well that's it for me tonight. I better get back to finishing up this so-called fan fiction sequel since I really wanna watch Stargate: Continuum! ♥

Thanks to everyone who has commented on my icon entry so far! Enjoy the icons!

Time for my first batch of D/V icons... ever. I'm surprised myself at how long it's taken me to make an entire batch instead of a few Vala icons here and there. I'm slowly getting back into iconing mood again so hopefully the next batch isn't far behind. Guess it kind of depends on how well these icons are welcomed.

Being a Vala fan, naturally I had to post a trailer video. Especially since Stargate: Continuum is my favorite Stargate movie and I haven't even seen it yet. I refuse to watch the leaked version; longing for the shiny DVD version. The reason I have so high hopes for this movie is real simple: QETESH! *coughs* Anyways, here's the official trailer which sadly doesn't include a Vala clip but I'll keep looking.
